Icing

Sometimes, you just finish a lay out and call it good. And then there are times, you go back to it, and keep on adding stuff, until you call it good.
Ok this is one of those times.
I added metal center to my flower. And from Morning Glory, I got these fiber flowers and some plastic flower centers. Oooh, they are so cute and cheap at 2 pesos each. I also added a gold painted Tim Holtz flourish. I used the Mariposa stack, I just love that line. So very elegant looking.
For this lay out, I added the gold painted bird cage, and added Maya road Bird acetates. I also added the orange flower trims.
I am very happy with how things turned out.
I haven't been scrapping lately, I've been busy playing with the ipad, iped and the itouch. Those things, just suck hours of your time. And now, I am back to scrapping.

How Do I?

I have a tower for embelishments, I bought two of these drawers and stacked them up. The bottom drawer has bigger drawers, and can fit my AC alphas.
Some of my papers are sorted by the line and by manufacturer. Solid colored cardstocks are arranged by hue. The rest of the papers are in a plastic bin.
Honestly, I am already over run by my stuff. Seriously, I need to stop buying. Either that or creating more.

Saturday Night Lay Outs

I am finally using my new Tim Holtz stamps. Yay! Karen and I halved The Girls Paperie die cuts. Ahhh, the advantage of having scrap addict friends. You buy more variety. I am still using cut outs of Jo Garces' Crafty Secrets stamps. Just having fun using the new 7 Gypsies papers.

Stil using the Dear Lizzy line. I bought a paper set from twopeas. Eh mahina ang E.Q. ko sa waiting. I ended up buying another set from Merry Jane, which I used up first. So expect lots more Dear Lizzy lay outs.
If you notice those two lay outs on top, have little ribbons on them. I am currently fascinated by rolls of ribbon. Jo had me go on a buying run, to look for those lace I purchased at 20 pesos a yard. Eh wala na. I ended up buying these rolls of gauze like ribbon. Great thing about them is that they maintain their form. And gosh, you can mist them and super buhay ang colors.

Joy

So much stuff arrived today! I am super happy. More stuff to play with.
My distress inks, and distress powders
My yummy Martha stickers.
MM design shop stickers
Tim Holtz
Martha Stamps
If you notice that aside from the Tim Holtz stamps, everything I bought online is cute. Tim Holtz just goes with everything! Now let's play.
Helen is selling some of the Martha stamps and the Martha stickers. She also has new Tim Holtz stamps that just arrived.
Last Wednesday, I did not do much except use the Slice and shop. I kinda have a love-hate relationship with my slice. It's so iffy. It sometimes works well and sometimes not at all. Ewan.

April's 7 Gypsies album

This was Wednesday's project. We copied April's 7 Gypsies album. So very nice.
My hubby said, he thought it was a purse.
I am still missing pictures. I learned the binding technique from Karen Filipino. I used circular rings and punched holes into the spine, instead of using the zutter.
I considered chucking my Zutter because, I couldn't make the end seam stay at the back pages. As a last resort, I watched the dvd, and now, I know how to make it work. Next time, RTFM. Just Read the Fabulous Manual.

Mini Albums

You know how I so love love making mini albums? Well, my Basket is now over flowing with mini albums. Time to move things into the trough!

Fave Foods Mini Album

I scraplifted this mini album off the internet. It's so pretty. It's just missing pictures. You can put your fave foods in this mini album. I made the album out of chip board I hand cut and just used a corner chomper to round out the edges. Papers are by Cosmo Cricket.
If you notice that I really love mini albums, since they are so fast and easy to make.
I think my scrap mate Jo would really like to make an album like this. She is also crazy over stamps that are about kitchen, utensils, anything food related. Here, I debuted her crafty secrets stamps. I just stamped them on a blank piece of paper and cut them up. I am very thankful to my friends like her and Sharon, who let me use their stamps. Because stamp shopping gets crazy expensive!
