A New Bag!

I bought this lovely antique case for 200 pesos or $4.  So pretty.  Notice the wooden details on the bag?  Reminds me of a Tim Holtz Vagabond!  I was so excited and texted my friend Karen, deciding on what to place inside.  My distress ink pads?  My embossing powders?
Joy!  Joy!

My Heat gun and embossing powders are now housed in a chic case.  Yay!
A place for everything.  Trying to keep a system in this chaos.
I am on a scrap hiatus for this week.  My hubby and I are travelling,  and I wish to preserve the cleanliness of my scrap area.  I don't want to leave a mess.

The Alice Swap

Up for a tag swap.  Our theme is Alice in Wonderland.  I was stumped.  I truly was.  I did not know where to begin or how to go along about it.  Either go for a mad hatter theme/ a tea party.  Oh for all you know, I was all for butchering an Alice in Wonderland book and using the pages for background.
I used a sizzix frame, but threw out the frame, and just used the inside oval for a uniform cut.  I stamped Love, the tea pot and the Fiskars love stamp for the sentiment.  I used making memories for the pink polka dot background and the flowers.
I think I should stop now.  I am all for piling on embelishments, but so far have not found the right ones.

Saturday's Class

What's a good way to spend National Scrapbooking Day?  Why scrapping, of course.  I took a class with Iris Uy, and came up with the following lay outs:

Journal:  To travel the world.  Places to see.  Food to eat!

New lay outs.

From MME's latest papers by Rhona Farer.  Beautiful papers and colors.  Lay outs by Karen Filipino.
A great pic of me and my mom at my brother's wedding.
                                                     Mom and her baby Suki.
Playing with EP scraps and Studio Calico papers.
Love this picture of my high school friends.  Used some locally sourced trim, buttons.  DCWV butterflies, sizzix die cuts.  Distress inks.  Prima journalling papers.

One Perfect day

Lay Out:  One Perfect day in Paradise
Journalling:  Grey cast skies, a stormy turbulent sea, a bad day in Boracay?  Nope.  I just need you by my side  and I'm ok.  It doesn't take much to make me happy.

Materials used:  Paper:  Bazzill and MME.  Alphas:  Prima and Cosmo Cricket.  Punches:  Martha Stewart. Pearls:  Prima.  Baker's twine, washi tape.

My name is Bessie del Rosario.  I'm an avid scrapbooker.  I love taking pictures of my family,  places we've been to,  and pictures of my furry little family members.
I've always been a paper, glue and paper trimmer gal.  Only traditional scrapbooking for me.  I make 12 x 12 lay outs.  I usually meet up every week with my girl friends to scrap!  It's a great creative release.  We push each other to be more productive.
Thanks for reading,  and I hope to be considered as design team member for the Filipino Scrapbookers Challenge.

This and That

Worked on these lay outs during holy week.

I've also taken to batch processing. I have a bunch of sizzix die cuts, which I've painted gold or rose metallic. And now that they are painted, I just pile them on lay outs.
Photos from week end at the Marriot, Resorts world. I am in a wheelchair, because one of the dogs bit me.
At our favourite restaurant in Bangkok, Ta Wandang German Brewery. They serve the yummiest pork knuckles.

A picture from Boracay.
Have a box of die cuts, like this butterfly I cut from an MM paper. Now I have a bunch ready to glue down any time.
Posing with my dad's Harleys.
My niece Leanne and me at the Ocean Park.
A beautiful Sizzix die cut from my Secret Santa. Thank you. I don't have a bunch of Hero Arts stamps. But the ones I do have, I use all the time.
Yohji,Leanne and me at the Ocean Park.
My Hubby and me at my brother's engagement party.
Pic taken during our prenup.

some were scraplifted from the Echo park newsletter. Fab ideas, by the way. Some, I found on the Echo Park FB page. And some I made on my own.
Pretty papers! I have to slow down a bit. This is getting to be expensive if I can run through this in two days.
