On the Bandwagon

It all started with Ime, decorating her Starbucks planner.  Everyone was so inspired by it.
I did my share in gulping down cups of coffee.
And I got my planner with a lot of help from the hubby.

But instead of decorating the cover like everyone else is doing, I am decorating the inside pages.

I stamped, stamped and put washi on the pages.

I misted and colored as well.

And I am so happy with the outcome.  Now my planner is not so boring any more.

All Excited

I took an Iris class this morning.  We made five beautiful lay outs  from different Webster's paper collections.

A cool picture with the sponge like  stones in Beijing.

My beautiful nieces.

A picture with my BFF's from high school.  Through thick and thin.  But it looks like through thick though.  Guffaw!

Lost in translation.

My family pic from a decade ago.

We used beautiful trims from Webster's.  We also used Vintaj on metal findings.  O wow.
And we used a mixture of modeling paste and gesso on masks.  And used that mixture to stamp.
We also used a new medium.  Pan Pastels.  Definitely the toys are piling up.
And this class...washi tape galore.  Beautiful pastel colored buttons.
How do I breeze through the class?  I batch process.  Sitting beside me is no picnic.  If I have to do some of your stuff, then better be prepared to do some of my work as well.
Scrapbooking in my case is a dictatorship.  But hey,  we all finish.  We just finish waay ahead of you.

My Kindle Case

I used to have this totally cool Kindle case, with my Kindle Keyboard.  It had this chargeable light, so you can read without straining your eyes.
I lost my Kindle Keyboard with the fly case.

So last year, I purchased the Kindle Paperwhite, and put off buying a case.
So after looking at some DIY sites on the internet, I decided to make my own.

I bought this 40 pesos book in Booksale.  It needs to be hardbound.  I was looking for a Bobsey Twins book or a Hardy Boys one.  Those also work.  A nod to the books I used to read in Grade School.

I totally lucked out.  The inner book cover was even more amazing.

Just remove the inner pages by using a craft knife.

Since I injured the spine,  I just used some cloth tape from 7 Gypsies.  So pretty.

I attached some velcro strips to my kindle and attached it to the book cover using some Terrifically Tacky Tape.

I also purchased one of those elastic headbands for 11 pesos.  And just used a glue gun to attach it to the the cover.

Awesome.  My Kindle case for 51 pesos or $1.25.  How cool is that?

Welcom 2013

Well Hello 2013.  The first lay out is for DT work at Filipino Scrapbookers.  The sketch is by Kath.
As you can see, I am currently enamored by the DCWV papers Spring Fling.  I love the pinks and the yellows.  So totally my color.  And since, I was on a roll, I made a lay out for my mother in law and a couple of other friends.
