Over the week end

this is what I did with my excess Summer time papers.
I just added a couple of die cuts from K & CO

the following 2 lay outs are scraplifted from April.

The Ebi lay out is scraplifted from Iris.
And I purchased a K & Co paper from Helen for 10 pesos, which I used as a base for the home lay out. I painted the back of a Maya Road doily acetate, to make the doily pop. Doilies are Sharon's current obsession. And the 2 paper flowers are made using Martha Stewart scoring tool. By the way, that is a Tim Holtz sizzix cie cut from Karen, also painted using dabbers.
And in case you were wondering what day I went to the cemetery, I went both Saturday and Sunday. Monday was just too much traffic to deal with. I remember last year, the Bunny and I made an attempt, and we just made it to the gate, and we did not reach Papa.
Today, while my mom and gram left for the cemetary at the crack of dawn, Sharon and I were out scrap shopping. Addicts unite.

TGIF

I just braved through hellish traffic with my mom and Tita Dely. We went to Dusit to fix our visas. And then afterwards, we had lunch at Kitchen's best in Pasong Tamo and Dessert at Terry's after. Phew.
I now have two painter's tray. One is of the wedding. and this one is of our pre nuptial pictures. Looking at these pictures, they feel like a lifetime ago.
We used awesome papers from 7 gypsies. Iris, provided all the stuff we used here. The metal butterfly, the Prima pebble, the Maya Road clock face, MR chip board keys and the Tim Holtz metal keys. Vivian provided the Mod Podge and the mini dots na tape. Those things really stick.
I just love the finished project.

Wednesday Projects

Vivian cracked out all her Christmas stamps and allowed us to use them. Oh wow! Talk about major stamp buffet. But after conditioning the stamps, cleaning wasn't so bad after. The cards are MME, I received last Christmas. The papers used are by Making Memories.
I had fun using crackle paint on the bird, and embossing Joy in gold.

Crafty Secrets Christmas stamps have very fine detail.

a bit of lace and border punch.

While I was sick

Being sick is pretty boring. All you do is blow your nose, hack with cough, watch endless series on tv. I ended up scrapping last night, but my deterrent was I did not want to clean up after. So I did it, Mommy Lil style. I cleaned as I went. I put away stuff after using them. And you know what, cleaning after was not bad at all.
Here are scraps from the Cosmo Cricket kit. I used a tim Holtz stamp, and used distress ink to stamp on a piece of gauze which I knotted. I also used some glimmer mist. And if you notice, all my lay outs lately have paint around the sides. It's because I've discovered the joys of crackle paint. I love how you just paint without cleaning the brushes after.
I also bought a bunch of 8 1/2 x 11 MM papers. Eh you know naman na I don't do lay outs of that size di ba? So after a month of sitting on the papers, here is what I was able to produce. I love the greens and the baby blues. It makes me think na hey, not all my lay outs have to be in pink para cutesy.

A frog in my throat

I am allergic to perfumes and strong scents. My throat gets scratchy, my nose is running. I have allergic cough. Not fun, I'm telling you. My hubby had to drive me around in his car, since I was driving the big car, and it's hard to get parking for that. Eh problem is, his car is heavily perfumed. And so, with this, I will start with my dvd marathon and rest. Scrapping resumes next week.

In the middle of the night.

I scrap during evening news. And then I watch na my trusty CSI series or more like listen to them. I usually sleep quite early around 8-9 I am usually in bed, because I wake up at midnight. If you didn't know by now, I am a vampire.
My dogs usually wake me up if they need a drink, or need to pee. I usually hunt the hubby and tell him to go home by this time when he is at work.
And then back to scrapping.
Here, I used an old Prima paper, and used some Bella Blvd papers. My butterfly is actually scraps from Cosmo Cricket. I hand cut and added some crackle paint for the body. The borders are Melody Ross and DCWV. Chipboard stickers are from Cosmo Cricket. I also added some die cuts from The Girls Paperie.
I cut up some Mariposa papers and glued them to DCWV the Neutral stack. Added some paper cut outs from Graphic 45. the Love is from Cosmo Cricket. The ticket is from Jenni Bowlin and I used my new 7 Gypsies stamp.
